WORKING IN ALL DIMENSIONS

Turning a creative theme into a three-dimensional creative visual is 3 Degrees’ Design department’s forte, which is why we jumped at the opportunity to provide Coca-Cola Amatil with creative 3D visualisations for their AFL Grand Final Hospitality event to support our Events team’s creative concept.

We started by mapping out the venue’s floor plan, then rapidly built walls, staging, all proposed furniture and other objects to create and shape the event’s aesthetic. Once the scene was built, we added individual textures to each object, set up a virtual lighting rig and positioned individual cameras for the final rendered viewpoints.

3D Rendering for event concept visualisation not only helped CCA understand exactly what their event would look like, but also helped us execute an event with elements that were proportional to the space. The end result was a CCA Clubhouse Pub theme which translated perfectly within the space at the MCG. Pictured above left is just one element of the creative that was designed before construction, allowing the client to sign off on exactly what they wanted.

SEEK AT QUALIA

The sun was shining when an intimate group of SEEK’s clients stepped off the plane at Hamilton Island Airport for three days of relaxed corporate interaction. From here, guests boarded their personal golf carts for the scenic drive across the island towards luxury resort qualia and hey presto, the change in pace was set in motion.

Situated on the secluded northern-most tip of Hamilton Island and surrounded by lush tropical bushland, qualia is recognised worldwide as the new benchmark in luxury travel, offering a distinctly Australian experience. It was here that SEEK management and clients based themselves for three stress-free days.

Across the weekend client buggies and co-ordinated transfers ferried guests between the resort and a variety of island locations and activities including the famed Hamilton Island Golf Course on Dent Island and the luxurious Alani cruiser for a private charter to Whitehaven Beach.

3 Degrees Marketing were engaged by SEEK to facilitate all aspects of the program including travel management; collateral print and design; activity co-ordination, meeting facilitation; on the ground logistics and above all ensuring guests didn’t have to lift a finger.

CORNWALL STODART HOSTS AN INTIMATE LUNCHEON FOR THE PRIME MINISTER OF EAST TIMOR

Accompanied by a full police escort, guided by security and assisted by personal advisors, His Excellency Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão arrived at the Cornwall Stodart Office on William Street with considerable fanfare. His manner, however, was far from ceremonial, greeting each of the invited guests personally with a handshake and a warm smile.

The intimate luncheon was hosted by VECCI President Peter McMullin in conjunction with The Hon. Steve Bracks (former premier of Victoria and now special advisor to His Excellency) as a fundraising effort towards His Excellency’s campaign for re-election as Prime Minister of East Timor. Select guests, with varying interests in the neighbouring nation, shared a relaxed and intimate luncheon that included an address from His Excellency about his personal journey and that of the nation under his leadership. This acted as confirmation that His Excellency is a truly compelling man with an incredible story to tell. Guests were provided with an opportunity to present questions in an informal, open table style discussion.

3 Degrees Marketing were very proud to be engaged to manage this important event and equally honoured to contribute to the fundraising initiative driven by Peter McMullin.

Opportunities range from product sampling through to Presenting Partner rights.

Gucci Sydney Store Launch

GUCCI FLAGSHIP STORE LAUNCH

The 3 Degrees events team were set the ultimate challenge of transforming a shopping centre lobby, still undergoing construction, into a glamorous dinner setting for the Gucci Flagship store launch.

On Wednesday 30 November Gucci officially launched their flagship store in Sydney, located in the Westfield Shopping Centre on Castlereagh Street. The celebration commenced with a ribbon cutting ceremony, followed by an in-store cocktail event and finally an exclusive four course gala dinner, with a menu designed by top Sydney restaurant Pendolino.

During the installation, the 3 Degrees team navigated their way around a building site and in just over 48 hours crafted the custom event design commissioned in consultation with Gucci. The design was complete with 50 metres of temporary walls to divide the vast space; a raised, circular stage; custom built dining tables; ten metre high, full colour, Gucci advertising prints; hundreds of fragrant peonies; hand selected tableware and a fully functioning commercial kitchen.

Add to this a cast of waiters, door hosts and lift attendants dressed by Gucci and the result was an unforgettable evening for a selection of VIP’s, media and celebrities that included a private performance by British singer/songwriter Anna Calvi – a personal favourite of Gucci’s Creative Director Frida Giannini.  In celebration of the flagship store launch, Gucci also presented a cheque for $200,000 to the Australian Childhood Foundation.

THE LANGHAM ANNOUNCES ITS ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY

We were over the moon when the Langham Hospitality Group requested our services to launch their first-ever Sydney property!

A hotel collection that is synonymous with style and luxury, The Langham Hotels have played host to royalty across the globe. The Langham Sydney is sure to claim the throne of lavish and opulent accommodation in the Harbour City.

The start of Langham’s journey in Sydney will take place on August 8th before refurbishments get underway to transform the original site on Kent Street into the magnificent Langham. We are honoured to be a part of this special project and look forward to working with the Langham team to celebrate their grand arrival and continued development in the Sydney market.

Gucci Spring Racing Carnival

GUCCI GLAMOUR AT SPRING RACING CARNIVAL

We were thrilled to be working with Gucci yet again this year, hosting the exclusive Gucci Private Suite at the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. Friends of Gucci and special guests enjoyed VIP treatment over the traditional three days of racing – Derby, Cup and Oaks Days.

The suite exuded a sense of luxury and sophistication in true Gucci style. Perched on the Hill Stand and overlooking the finishing line, guests were able to enjoy a panoramic view of the iconic Flemington Racecourse. Melbourne hatted restaurant Il Bacaro tantalised our tastebuds with their culinary delights while champagne poured freely all day. Twilight heartthrob Xavier Samuel and the stunning Lindy Klim were among our special guests at the Gucci suite.

Everyone at 3 Degrees had the pleasure of being involved in this amazing event, providing graphic design, sponsorship, PR, and events services.

Photography was a crucial element to the success of the suite, and our own Jarrah Kammoora had the privilege of working as the exclusive Gucci photographer for his third year. Jarrah was able to meet Gucci’s needs of both event and PR photography across three days of racing festivities.

WESTIN HOTEL CUP DAY MOËT & CHANDON CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH

The Westin Melbourne’s annual Moët & Chandon Champagne Brunch was the ideal way to kick start Melbourne Cup Day celebrations. The invitation-only event was held exclusively for 300 valued clients, industry associates and celebrities.

Modern, chic and elegantly understated, The Westin Melbourne’s dramatic staircase and light filled lobby overlooking City Square set the scene for this five star event. Guests were enchanted by the stylish garden party theme, featuring inspiring decorative pieces, edible delights and live jazz.

This year, we’re proud to have worked with The Westin to help make this a truly memorable event. Our team managed the VIP guest list, coordinated event photography, and hosted celebrity guests as well as media on the day.

COCA-COLA AMATIL AFL GRAND FINAL DAY CELEBRATIONS

In true Melbourne style, weather conditions played havoc on the 2011 Grand Final Day celebrations. Any plans for a backyard barbeque were washed away with the rain that continued to fall throughout the day. That is unless you were a guest at Coca-Cola Amatil’s annual AFL Grand Final day celebrations. The 2011 event saw the Olympic Atrium at the MCG transformed into The Ultimate Backyard Barbeque, complete with lush astro turf lining the entire 450 square metres of floor space. The concept was developed by our events department in consultation with CCA to create a playful take on the much loved backyard barbie – a relaxed environment for guests to kick off a memorable day at the G.

We designed and commissioned a custom-built set that included a single fronted house as the entry point, a garden shed to mask kitchen facilities and freshly washed Coca-Cola beach towels adorning oversized Hills Hoists. Traditional timber fencing enclosed the private event but there were plenty of nosy “neighbours” sneaking a peek at the most talked about Grand Final Day corporate event on site at the MCG.

2010 VECCI PRESIDENTS DINNER

The striking Elisabeth Murdoch Hall at the Melbourne Recital Centre was the setting for 120 invited guests at the annual 2010 VECCI Presidents Dinner. Seated on stage, guests were treated to live music from a grand piano over dinner and a special performance by international act, The Raah Project. Raah returned to the Recital hall after a sellout season, this time playing to guests from the audience stalls.

Hosted by Melbourne personality Jennifer Keyte, with special commentary by Lord Mayor Robert Doyle the event was a landmark one with the introduction of newly appointed President Peter McMullin by outgoing President Jeremy Johnson and a special message from Premier & then opposition leader preceding the state election.
