Australian distillers, leading industry experts and enthusiastic sponsors celebrated the burgeoning industry of distilled spirits at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ADSA) presentation on Thursday 21st April.

The inaugural ADSAs were created following the success of the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards’ distilled spirits and liqueurs categories, and attracted 154 entries from 42 distillers – representing more than 80% of Australian distillers. Aptly held at the Craft & Co – the two-story warehouse in Collingwood that boasts a 120-litre distillery, guests gathered to toast to the medal winners of Australian made whiskies, gins, vodkas, rums, brandies, liqueurs and other spirits.

Winners included Limeburners Distillery, Western Australia & kis Old Tom, Kangaroo Island Spirits, South Australia. Following the presentation, guests were invited to sample cocktails created with the winning spirits, at individual bars dedicated to each category winner.
