SHIRE OF ROEBOURNE LUNAR CIRCUS SCHOOL BRANDING

Recently, 3 Degrees’ Design team had the opportunity to work with Western Australia’s Shire of Roebourne in creating their 2014 Lunar Circus school branding. Located in Karratha and run in partnership with Rio Tinto, the Lunar Circus school was held during the April school holidays and its brand needed to be fun, dynamic and colourful to speak to a youthful demographic. The resulting final design incorporated a modern twist on traditional circus colours and dynamic illustrations mixed with bold expressive fonts, and was rolled out across a range of collateral including T-shirts, backpacks, print and ambient advertising.

This project is just one of a few exciting jobs we have worked on with our friends at Shire of Roebourne and is another example of how distance or time zones are no obstacle to achieving great results with our clients.

ROYAL MELBOURNE HORSE SHOW PARTNERS WITH PSC INSURANCE

The Royal Melbourne Horse Show (RMHS) is the biggest horse breed show in the Southern Hemisphere showcasing over 40 breeds of horses and ponies. The RMHS offers excellent sponsorship opportunities for like-minded brands to align themselves with a competition that garners close to 4,000 industry representatives.

For the 2014 RMHS, the team at 3 Degrees helped facilitate a partnership between RMHS and PSC Insurance Group. As a sponsor of the 2014 RMHS, PSC Insurance Group was able to build relationships with spectators, exhibitors and a broadcast audience  at the Show. PSC Insurance Group was the Presenting Sponsor of the event. The sponsorship included IP rights, presentation rights and strategic networking plus advertising in the RMHS Exhibitor Catalogue.

3 Degrees not only represents large sponsorship projects like Cirque du Soleil and the Royal Melbourne Show, but also a collection of high quality industry-specific events. We are also excited to be welcoming Penny Meakes, who will be heading up Sponsorship and Commercial Rights at 3 Degrees.

NETWORK TEN’S THE LIVING ROOM REJOINS FOR ANOTHER SEASON

WTFN’s The Living Room and 3 Degrees have been able to generate what can only be described as a prolific amount of press across all media platforms this last season.  Highlights of media coverage achieved include significant features in New Idea, Who Weekly, Take 5, Women’s Day, Qantas Australia Way and the Sunday Herald Sun.

Soon to commence filming season three, we are proud to announce that we will once again be working on this dynamic show that continues to break through ratings targets.  As WTFN’s official marketing and PR agency, 3 Degrees will be focusing on developing interesting new creative ways of bringing The Living Room brand to life outside of its highly successful Friday night time slot.  We are also currently involved in the brand integration strategy and planning process, which involves considering how third party brands can engage with the show to offer the audience an opportunity to get to know appropriate brands in a meaningful way; whether that be through collaborative outdoor activations, competitions or featured in show content.

Cirque du soleil

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We have a proud history of working with Cirque du Soleil and are delighted to have been appointed as the exclusive sponsorship agency across Australia and New Zealand.

Cirque du Soleil offers an excellent platform for like-minded brands to align with a globally renowned entertainment company and gives partners the chance to connect and build relationships with a captive audience in a creative and inspirational way.

3 Degrees created a bespoke introductory document providing an overview of their next tour and the opportunities that exist for brands, including media integration, consumer facing initiatives, VIP hosting opportunities and special events. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how your brand could become involved with this prestigious entertainment property.

TASTY TREATS

We’ve run more than 100 events in the last 12 months and continue to work on some amazing quality and unique creative concepts, none more delicious than the food aspect though! Our Event Head, Anna Shaw and her team have built up a reputation amongst the culinary elite as master chef event catering consultants (there aren’t many chefs, restaurants, or produce suppliers that we haven’t worked with now).

Anna has many talents, but her passion for food integration has shone through during her time at 3 Degrees, rewarding our faithful clients with a faultless integration of food celebrity and fine produce sourcing – its an art incorporating food integrity and celebrity on the ground to deliver consistent quality to the overall event experience, so give us a call if you need any advice because we have the experience and the relationships for you to leverage.

VECCI PRESIDENT’S DINNER HOSTS THE CALYPSO KINGS

The Members Dining Room at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground was the setting for the annual VECCI President’s Dinner at which 250 government, member and VIP guests were hosted. The venue created a perfect backdrop for special guests Sir Vivian Richards, Michael Holding and Joel Garner – cricketing legends collectively known as the Calypso Kings.

The journey commenced with welcome drinks in the Dining Room foyer and was followed by a beautiful three course menu designed for the event by celebrated Melbourne Restaurant Il Bacaro.

Formalities included an address by VECCI President Peter McMullin and a message from VECCI Chief Executive Mark Stone.

Special guests joined facilitator Tim Lane on stage for an intimate interview about their illustrious cricketing careers. The popularity of these guests was apparent during the official signing and photo opportunity session.

To end the evening guests were treated to a personal farewell that included petite flower posies gifted to guests as they exited.

The result was a truly memorable evening.

Rachel-Hunter

RACHEL HUNTER AT THE GUCCI PRIVATE SUITE

We had a lot of fun hosting the luxurious custom-built Gucci Private Suite for Gucci’s fourth consecutive year of their sponsorship of the Auckland Racing Club. We welcomed Auckland local and New Zealand’s Got Talent judge Rachel Hunter as one of our special guests. It was very fitting that the winning horse of the ‘Gucci Sprint’ was named ‘Vogue’!

The PR team secured coverage in New Zealand’s major newspapers, social pages and magazines, and managed to exceed the value of editorial coverage achieved last year.  Going back to New Zealand is always a pleasure and our relationships there only grow stronger year to year.

ROYAL MELBOURNE WINE AWARDS 2013

We were honoured to be asked to work with The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria’s epicure team on The Royal Melbourne Wine Awards. It is Australia’s largest and most prestigious wine awards; recognised by wine producers as an important competition in benchmarking their produce.

A record number of guests attended this year’s annual Royal Melbourne Wine Awards Presentation Dinner as part of Melbourne Wine Week. The prestigious dinner component of Wine Week (pictured above) gave us an opportunity to showcase the very best of wine and food, with an art deco inspired event theme.

A special thanks to Riedel, Pei Modern and of course James Halliday for helping to make this event a meaningful occasion for all who attended.

Australian Open

AUSTRALIAN OPEN SPONSORSHIP ACTIVATION

More than 600,000 people walked through the gates of Melbourne Park for this year’s Australian Open and while the international stars of tennis battled it out on court, festivities continued around the clock, no more so than on Grand Slam Oval. This buzzing atmosphere was the setting for 3 Degrees’ latest sponsorship activation – the Coca-Cola Frozen Coke Zone.

Working with Coca-Cola Amatil’s marketing team, 3 Degrees have been busy designing and activating a temporary POS build for the major FMCG brand as part of their sponsorship of the 2013 event. The activation was designed to operate on multiple levels (part retail, part brand activity), hence form and function played equal roles.

The brief was dictated by strict procedures in addition to Coca-Cola Amatil’s brand guidelines and finally the necessity to re-use the structure at multiple sites. The result was a compact, multi-dimensional, branded igloo that can be flat-packed for storage until the need to reassemble.

UNION DINING SERVES UP AN AUTUMN FEAST

We had the great pleasure of launching Union Dining’s Autumn Menu to a small group of carefully selected guests.  In their classic European provincial style, Union Dining’s co-owners – front-of-house manager and denim jacket collector Adam Cash, and head chef Nicky Riemer whose cure to a hangover is chilli – tantalised our tastebuds with their flavours of Autumn.  A favourite of the six courses was their pan-fried Portland hapuka fillet, fregola and charred corn with Otway shiitake mushrooms.

Come and experience Union Dining’s rustic menu and hearty flavours.  Open for dinner, Tues – Sat; and lunch, Thurs – Sun.  Visit their Terrace upstairs for some cocktails after work, open Wed – Sat nights.
